packaging

My main interest within graphic design is packaging. therefore, for my current which is a book of 100 i want to concentrate of the design of the book and how it could be packaged. this piece of work has been produced by a company called form for bloomsbury publishing. The book contains packaging from products from local communities that havn't been effected by the globalised market.
my thoughts on this piece of work is that the way the books is accessed is the the subject matter of the book which is packaging. The packaging has been designed in the style of the products that are not globalised there is no sense of McDonald's or Nike advertising and packaging, as these company's maintain a simplistic approach as they don't need to fill there products with information as they have been globalised and accepted as a world renowned company. The design of this particular piece reminds me of Cilit bang which was an advertised product and well known within the British market for looking over worked, but in the same context communicated the information required,
relating to my book of 100 i want to generate and develop a design that packages a book and once the piece has been open there is no way of it returning to the state that it was in when bought, the same as with this piece once the packaging is open the seal will not be able to return to it's previous state, as with the case of real packaging probably be disposed of.
